"1810-1835"

THIS IS AN ENGLISH MERCURY WHEEL BAROMETER BY "L. MALACRIDA" OF STAMFORD, ENGLAND, CIRCA 1810-1835.  THE CASE IS MAHOGANY WITH SUNFLOWERS AND SEA SHELL INLAYS.  THE TOP OF THE CASE HAS A BROKEN PEDIMENT WITH A BRASS FINIAL IN THE CENTER.  THE THERMOMETER HAS AN ARCHED SILVER SILVERED DIAL.  THE BAROMETER DIAL IS SILVERED AND ENGRAVED.

Chelsea Weather Station

THIS IS A WEATHER STATION MADE BY THE CHELSEA CLOCK CO. IN CHELSEA, MA, CIRCA 1953.  THE WEATHER STATION HAS A TIMEPIECE, THERMOMETER, ANEROID BAROMETER AND A HYGROMETER, ALL IN A SOLID WALNUT CASE WITH SATIN BANDING ALL AROUND THE EDGE.  THE CLOCK IS AN 8 DAY SPRINGWOUND TIMEPIECE.  THIS PIECE IS 3/4 SIZE.  THERE IS A PLACQUE UNDER THE CLOCK THAT READS- "C. SHERWOOD REDDISH- FROM HIS FRIENDS AT DESPARD & CO. OCT 1918-OCT 1955.  THIS SET WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD BY AMBERCROMBIE & FITCH, NEW YORK.

Art Nouveau

ENGLISH BAROMETER AND THERMOMETER  IN AN OAK ART NOUVEAU STYLE  CASE.  THE BAROMETER HAS BLACK AND RED LETTERING ON THE PORCELAIN DIAL.  THE THERMOMETER IS ALSO PORCELAIN WITH BLACK NUMERALS.  THERE IS SOME CARVING ON THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE CASE.  CIRCA 1900-1920.

English Barometer

ENGLISH WEATHER STATION WITH A BAROMETER AND THERMOMETER IN AN OAK CASE WITH SOME CARVING.  THE BAROMETER HAS A WHITE PORCELAIN DIAL, THE THERMOMETER  IS ALSO PORCELAIN AND HAS A GLASS FRAME OVER IT.  CIRCA 1900-1920.

"BAROMETER 1818"

THIS IS AN ENGLISH CASED MERCURY WHEEL BAROMETER BY A. GALLETTI IN GLASGOW,SCOTLAND, CIRCA 1818 IN A MAHOGANY CASE WITH SUNFLOWERS AND SEA SHELL INLAYS.  THE TOP IS A BROKEN PEDIMENT WITH A SMALL BRASS CENTER FINIAL.  THE MERCURY THERMOMETER HAS AN ARCHED SILVER DIAL.  THE BAROMETER DIAL IS SILVERED AND ENGRAVED WITH BEVELED GLASS IN THE BEZEL.  THERE IS A BRASS PLAQUE THAT READS "A GIFT FROM THE COUNTEFS DUNMORE TO P. HANCE JAN. 21, 1818".
